Week round up 7th-13th May…..
Another busy week of racing for the team as the 2018 season in now in full swing.
Firstly, in mid-week racing, Matt King and Rhodri Owen competed in the Rockingham circuit race for 2/3 category riders. Working well together as a unit, they took it in turns to go away in breakaway moves with Rhodri eventually being the representative in the successful combination. He took fifth from this group, with Matt taking 6th from the rest of the bunch.
On Saturday, in the E123 circuit race at Darley Moor, Matt raced again with Bradley Symonds also in action. In an aggressive and attacking race with many attempts to form a breakaway, the team placed 12th and 13th in the final.
Over the weekend, three riders, Darren Rider, Sam Parker and Pete Williams represented the team in the Rockingham Forest 2 day event at Middleton. Following a 50 mile road stage, a short time trial stage and a further undulating road stage on the Sunday, Sam Parker took 8th overall after his strong 3rd position in the time trial stage. Darren finished inside the points in 15th place.
