Fantastic team performance in the first round of the East Midlands road race league this Sunday, as six riders took to the start. Of these, five placed in the top fifteen showing how well the team for 2018 have gelled. Best finisher was James Chapman in 6th closely followed by junior racer, Darren Rider in 10th, Toby Jarvis 11th, Martin Phillips 13th and Matt King 15th. It is particularly pleasing to see the vast progress of Darren and Matt as we start this new season of league races. Congratulations to Joe Perkins who took the initial lead in this league.
Also, on Sunday, brothers Rob and Tom Seeley were in action in an E123 criterium event in Birmingham where Rob took 11th place.
Finally, in Wales, three riders took part in the Tour of the Mining Valleys race. In a tough event with many elite category racers, George Kimber finished in 8th and Bradley Symonds in 17th. Rob Rodgers finished just outside the top 20 in the depleted main peloton.
A great weekend for the team and one which clearly shows our ambition for the rest of the season.
